Oil & Gas

Drilling, wellhead, production and process equipment for onshore and offshore operations.

From drilling and well completion through to production and gas processing, we supply the equipment and spare parts that keep onshore and offshore operations running. Enquiries in this sector are usually driven by a schedule — a rig waiting, a compressor down, a turnaround window that will not move — so we confirm availability before we commit to a delivery date rather than after.

Where our equipment goes

Oil and gas is not one procurement problem but four, and each has its own failure mode. Drilling is schedule driven and tolerates no ambiguity about connection type. Wellhead work is certification driven. Production equipment is condition driven. Gas processing is driven by the composition of the stream itself, which decides the entire material specification downstream.

We quote each of them differently, and we ask different questions at enquiry stage depending on which one you are in.

  • Drilling — drilling motors, jars, shock tools, stabilisers, fishing and recovery equipment
  • Wellhead and completion — API 6A spools, valves, hangers, adapters and spare parts
  • Production — pumps, separators, heaters, wellsite instrumentation
  • Gas processing — reciprocating and screw compressor packages, vapour recovery units, coolers and scrubbers
  • Flow control — gate, globe, ball and check valves with actuation
  • Consumables — drilling fluids additives, corrosion inhibitors, demulsifiers

Specifications we work to

An oil and gas enquiry that arrives as a model number is incomplete. What the manufacturer needs is the service condition, and in this sector the service condition changes the entire material chain rather than a single component.

Sour service is the clearest example

The moment hydrogen sulphide appears in the stream, material selection follows NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 — and not only for the wetted parts. Valve trim, gasket selection, bolting, vent routing and instrument selection all follow from it. A package quoted against a horsepower figure and a discharge pressure, without the gas analysis, will pass the commercial evaluation and fail the inspection six months later.

  • API 6A — wellhead and christmas tree equipment, with material class and temperature rating stated
  • API 600 / 6D — valve design and pipeline valve specification
  • NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 — sour service material selection
  • ASME B16.5 / B16.34 — flange and valve pressure-temperature ratings
  • ATEX / IECEx — electrical and instrument equipment in classified areas
  • EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 — material certification, with third party endorsement where required
